What drives you?

My motivation is to put entrepreneurs in their natural power with a strong and beautiful branding. It gives me heaps of energy to see how founders shine once they see their idea suddenly come to life and can proudly show this to the outside world (and attract customers along).

How did you discover your expertise?

I used to work in corporate companies like Etos and Unilever, but it never felt the right thing to do. When I was 24, I moved to Sydney to enjoy a year of freedom and peace of mind. I found space to explore my creative talent, that had shifted to the background during my studies. A creative journal with illustrations was my daily exercise. When I came back to The Netherlands, I told everybody I wanted to be an illustrator, which worked because people came to me. The illustrations turned into design, where my strategic skills were also applicable. This lead to The Wiebes Agency.

Can you share something on your way of working?

The source of my inspiration is nature intree pillars. The first one is renewal, nature is always original and comes up with crazy combinations. Secondly growth, a tree never stops growing. The latter is connection, we are all connected and we are nowhere without connection. I have hundred thousand ideas, but I am currently working on an (online) program in which I would love to guide starting entrepreneurs in a playful, approachable and creative (duh!) manner to make an idea into business. Furthermore, I am the co-founder of yoga Nidra platform House of Deeprelax and I am working on a mindfulness product for kids.

How does your vision match the Manifest of Purpose Lab?

I believe that working with people across the whole world, broadens your vision on life. In this way you can see your own role in a perspective and work together in attenter wat on meaningful projects. The magic happens outside the comfort zone! this created inspiration, creation and innovation.

What is your most precious travel memory and why?

I feel extremely lucky to have experienced so many wonderful trips from an early age with my parents and three sisters. One amazing journey was the one in 1997, where we traveled with the entire family in a huge camper van through the USA. There was something wrong with the motorhome so we visited about every garage in California and Nevada (which was an amazing opportunity for me as I collected business cards), but of course also the most beautiful places in these states. From the Golden Gate Bridge in San Fransisco to the Sequoia trees in Yosemite to the Ghost Town in the Mojave desert to the Excalibur castle in Las Vegas. Every day we drove straight ahead towards a new adventure. My mother recently confessed that she had no idea how she survived the trip with a baby and three young kids, like the one time when we arrived at a campsite after a hellish, hot car ride and there was no food in any sight except from four small frankfurters. But it did not matter to us, listening to the hits of Barbara Ann while cruising around, everything was fantastic in the summer of 1997.

How do you look at the ecological, economic and / or sociological impact of travel?

Traveling is such an incredible enrichment of life. Comfortable trips or uncomfortable journeys provide so many beautiful life lessons and put everything daily in a different light. Tourism has therefore become one of the world's largest industries, with people who want to escape, get lost, wonder, change, discover, meet, or simply drink all-in cocktails at the pool. The industry grows and grows and grows. Growth and profit is not necessarily a bad thing, but aiming for profit in as short a time as possible always has harmful consequences. The best solution is a long-term plan in which the local population is involved through education and empowerment. If you buy something - whether this is a product or service - be very aware of the impact of your buy on the local population, flora and fauna, culture and heritage. Make it a positive experience for everyone, be a conscious traveler and make the difference.

Finally, what personal advice about conscious living would you like to share?

A year ago I came in contact with the Jane Goodall Institute Netherlands and have the honor to design for the charity on a pro bono basis. That is how I got to know Jane's beautiful philosophy and meet her. This powerful woman has an unimaginable force and energy. Despite her 84-year-old age, she travels around the world for 300 days to convey her message: "What you can do and decide what kind of difference you want to make. "And you can truly make a difference. Just like the jungle, every animal and every plant has a role and contributes to the ecosystem. Everyone and everything is equally important and part of a larger whole. Every choice you make has an influence and makes the difference. Be aware that you make the difference.
